Ascent to Excellence

Thank you for supporting The BCS PTO!

  1. The BCS Annual Pumpkin Night was held on Friday October 17th in the cafeteria. It was well attended and pumpkins were completely sold out! Be sure to sign up early next year! A pumpkin carving and decorating contest was held with prizes for the top three pumpkins in each category. We have some incredibly talented BCS students! A very special Thank You to Bob Davis, principal and Kerrie Payne, pre-k teacher for judging the contest!! Families also had the opportunity to get 5x7 photo taken with their completed pumpkins. For those families, you can expect those to come home next week. We also want to thank the many volunteers who help to make this evening possible for the students - from pumpkin cleaning to baking goodies, we couldn't do this event without you! ~Ann and Keith Roselle
  2. The Book Fair was a HUGE success. BCS loves to read! The proceeds from the fair will be used to purchase books for our school library and classrooms. Thank you to the many volunteers who helped throughout the week. With a special thank you to the Chair People, Tracey Johnson, Pia Conners, and Heather Chometa.
  3. Please note that for your convenience, donations or other payments (including for Pumpkin Night) can be made online via PayPal! Include a "memo" of what the payment is being made for, and you can just submit your donation or registration form separately.
  4. Appreciation Committee: Thank you to all BCS parents and community members for your amazing support! Now that we are "back in the swing of things", we can reflect on a wonderful first month back at school! The Staff luncheon during Professional Development kicked off the year with a positive attitude for everyone! Many thanks to all of the parents who donated time and food items. The BCS staff also wanted to extend their heartfelt gratitude for this event. A very special thanks goes out to Ann Roselle for volunteering her entire day to help!
  5. Also, we continued the tradition of making token "Back to School Kits" for the staff to show them we are excited to start the new school year. We have already received several "thank you" notes and continue to receive more daily! We appreciate all of you who give your time, donations and support! This is what makes BCS so great!
  6. You can help BCS earn free educational merchandise by gathering and submitting Labels for Education. Like Box Tops, these labels can be found on your favorite household and grocery items. Products that have Labels for Education include Dannon, Campbell's, BIC, Pepperidge Farm, V8 beverages, Swanson, GLAD, Pop Secret, Prego, Spaghetti O's, Emerald Nuts, and Post Cereal & Treats. Please clip and send in with your child's teacher's name. Any questions, please contact Carla Rebelo-Kasarda at CarlaRebelo9588@aol.com.
