Finance/Budget – This committee will be responsible for preliminary budget development in conjunction with appropriate members of the administration and staff, and will present this information as necessary to the complete board. On a monthly basis, the chair will review the status of the budget, accounts, expenditures, line items and report as necessary at the monthly business meeting of the board.
The Program/Curriculum Committee reviews program and curriculum as presented by the administration and staff, including normal curricular review cycles and textbook changes.
The Policy Committee reviews existing policies and discusses new or additional policies as needed or desired by the board.
The Negotiations Committee is responsible for handling all negotiations with various staff groups except transportation related contracts. Authorization for any settlement rests with the full board.
The Transportation Committee will be responsible for contracts with bus contractors and, as necessary, will assist the administration with transportation related matters.
The Facilities/Safety Committee will be responsible for planning and oversight of both short-term maintenance and long term goals regarding the physical plant at Bethany Community School.
