Welcome to Mrs. Morganti's Fourth Grade Class!
Hello! I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself. I am originally from Long Island and graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2006 with an undergraduate degree in Sociology. I then completed my Masters degree in 2007 receiving a degree in Elementary Education. I am certified in both CT and NY grades k-6. This is my sixth year teaching here at Bethany Community School. I was intern in 2006 and completed my student teaching in first grade. I also covered for two maternity leave replacements in both kindergarten and first grade. This is my third year teaching fourth grade and I am looking forward to an extraordinary year.
I am both thrilled and dedicated to teaching your child and sharing in a productive and exciting school year. This year in Room 216, there is an increased sense of responsibility, leadership, and expectations. Students will be held accountable for their work habits, work completion, and observance of school and classroom rules. It is also my hope to instill a greater sense of confidence, self-esteem and responsibility so that each student can strive for his or her highest potential. Positive aspects of character are instilled in our classroom everyday, where students work together in order to create a positive, caring classroom environment. Our classroom is always open to parents. I believe in an open line of communication and would like all parents to take an active part in educating their children. We need to work together to make this year a great one!
Just a few reminders:
- Please check your son or daughter's "Notes and Homework" folder daily. This folder will contain important notices, homework assignments, and school work. It is very important that this folder be brought to and from school each day. Please also check your child's assignment pad each day as well to ensure that all homework is completed.
- We will be having snack every morning. Please send your son or daughter to school with a small nutritious snack daily.
- If you will be picking up your son or daughter from school, or if he or she will be going on another bus, please remember to send a note to school.
If at any time you should have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached at 393-3350 x516 or through email at mmorganti@bethany-ed.org
